Acer Aspire One D150: Essential Upgrade to the popular 8.9 inch Netbook

Acer Aspire One D150 is an essential upgrade over the original Aspire One 8.9-inch netbook. It offers bigger display (10.1 inch), higher performance and great power backup via its six cell battery pack. The bigger screen retains the same resolution level of 1024×600 pixels but the keyboard is small and average and the mouse button is somewhat difficult to use. Still the D150 is a good choice if you don’t want to spend too much for a portable computing device. Another noticeable upgrade is the device’s six cell battery. The earlier Acer netbook was offering a three cell battery pack. This has significantly bolstered the device power backup and can run for 5-7 hours on a single charge.

In order to keep the cost low the company has incorporated the original Aspire One keyboard design. This means that the overall keyboard size is 89 percent of the keyboards found in other 10 inch portable computing machines. As far as performance is concerned, the Acer Aspire One D150 will not let you down. It runs on Intel Atom N270 mobile processor and sports 1GB PC2-4200 DDR2 Memory that can be upgraded to 2GB. The 10 inch WSVGA (1024×600) wide screen display has also got an integrated VGA web cam.

This notebook offers enough room for file storage with its 160GB 5400rpm SATA HDD and renders awesome graphics using Intel GMA 950 Integrated Graphics. Besides, you will also get loads of other options to stay connected to wireless networks and enjoy file transfer at great speed.
