It is HP’s first business computer notebook that has the Intel Centrino 2 “Montevina” mobile platform and the Hewlett-Packard HP Compaq 6730b (GB992EA#ABU) also includes the brand new Core 2 Duo or Celeron CPUs and Intel GMA 4500 MHD integrated graphics. The laptop can support up to 8GB of DDR2 RAM and there is 250 GB of hard drive disk space.

The other features of the HP Compaq 6730b include a 802.11a/b/g wireless with optional support for 802.11 draft-n-standard, a 56K modem, Gigabit Ethernet LAN, optional HP un2400 EV-DO/HSPA mobile broadband module, four USB ports, an optional web camera, a serial port, an Express Card slot, Fire wire port, a 6-in-1 media card reader, VGA and S-Video outputs.
