The Lenovo IdeaPad Y510
By Wilson • Sep 13th, 2008 • Category: LaptopsYou must already be aware of Lenovo’s ThinkPad, but have you already heard of the company’s IdeaPads? Yes, despite the fact that Lenovo has enjoyed immense success with the ThinkPad series, its IdeaPad series is also doing quite well. Let’s discuss one of the most popular models associated with this series, namely, the Lenovo IdeaPad Y510-77583AU.
This super cool device incorporates an Intel Pentium Dual Core T2390 processor with a decent speed of 1.86 GHz. However, the Lenovo does not offer a Linux variant of the IdeaPad, and instead the laptop only comes with Windows Vista Home Premium preinstalled. The laptop’s storage space is not too shabby either, as the computer includes a 160 GB hard drive. For efficient and quick working it also incorporates an excellent 2GB of RAM with a speed of 667 MHz. It is also equipped with a dual layer DVD recorder, which offers a great amount of entertainment and allows the user to burn their own DVDs. Unfortunately though, this Lenovo IdeaPad doesn’t include a Blu-ray player like the Lenovo Y710. The IdeaPad’s 6 Cell Lithium Ion battery offers a higher than average battery life too. Lenovo has a reputation as one of the premium laptop manufacturers, and this laptop clearly demonstrates why.
