Change is the most essential part of life, without a change the whole cycle of life becomes monotonous. And Asus thinks about this seriously, so the company introduced many refreshing aspects into its popular Eee PC series. After the appearance of its ultra-successful Eee PC 4G, the company has graced us with the equally stunning Eee PC 2G Surf.

This netbook incorporates all those brilliant characteristics and attributes which you would expect in an intelligent device. Obviously, two of the subnotebook’s greatest features are its miniscule size and price, but it offers a fair amount of performance too. The Asus EEE PC 700 2G includes an Intel processor paired with the chipset also manufactured by Intel. The processor runs at a speed of 800 MHz, and goes with the 512 MB of RAM and 2 GB solid state disk. Just as with other Eee PCs, this one is also available in either a Windows or Linux variant. The gadget provides an integrated wireless local area network (802.11b/g) for easy networking. The main display is respectable 7 inches with a clarity of 800 x 400 pixels. The laptop also possesses high definition stereo speakers, which is somewhat surprising considering its compact size. Other features include an Ethernet Card, a 2.0 USB port, 4 cell battery and a one year warranty. So while the Eee PC 2G Surf’s greatest strength is still its affordability and compact dimensions, the netbook’s specifications aren’t lacking either.
