MacBook Air: Thin Redefined

Attention! The world’s thinnest laptop is waiting for you in nearby Apple store. Well Apple’s claim the MacBook Air is the thinnest laptop in existence, has been disputed, but nonetheless remains far far slimmer than 99.99% of the laptops on the market today. Its light 3 pound weight proves just how compact the laptop really is. So we know the MacBook Air is so thin it practically floats on air, but how does the computer perform?

Despite being razor sharp thin, the MacBook Air still includes many high-end and top notch specifications that easily rival other fatter notebooks on the market today. Of course, one feature is glaringly absent, namely an optical drive, as this vital component had to be sacrificed in order to achieve the Air’s super slim body. Otherwise, the Apple MacBook Air includes an impressive 13.3 inch widescreen, whose clarity (1280 x 800 screen resolutions) is impeccable and is accompanied by a LED backlit. This slim, sleek, and stunning creation also dazzles with its glossy silverish complexion, compelling one to just grab it. The product is based on an Intel GMA X3100 graphics processor with 144 MB of DDR2 SDRAM shared with the main memory. The 1.8 inches 80 GB hard drive with an optional 64 GB SSD hard drive provides the storage space. Its main foundation is its Intel Core 2 Duo Merom processor working with a speed of 800 MHz. The processor is accompanied by 2GB of RAM that enhances the working speed beautifully. For ground breaking and pulsating sound, the gadget includes a microphone and a mono loudspeaker.

The keyboard on it is full sized and comes with an ambient light sensor. For wireless data transferring purpose you are granted built-in Bluetooth, which is very commendable. So while a MacBook Pro might do circles around the Air in terms of performance, it can never match the Air’s slenderness and will never be able to fit into a paper envelope like the Air can.
