Toshiba Satellite U400 and U405: High Performance Penryn Powered Notebooks

Weighing in at just 4.85 pounds; each laptop includes the Intel Core 2 Duo Penryn processors. Equipped with 3GB RAM (upgradable up to 4GB), the satellite is set to handle everything you can thrown at it. It also comes with a finger print reader, a webcam and the all-new Toshiba Fusion finish, making it one hell of a notebook in terms of both looks and performance.
The WXGA screen is only 13.3 inches, with a maximum resolution of 1280×800, and is equipped with Toshiba’s very own TruBrite technology display. The Toshiba Satellite Pro U400 is equipped with the Intel GM965 express chipset and a 250GB hard disk, and a DVD Super multi drive with LabelFlash. The Intel Graphics media Accelerator X1300 with 128- 358 MB dynamic memory handles graphics.
Bluetooth with EDR and Intel WiFi Link allow connections to any network that the Satellite is in range with.
The U405 features a great touchpad with buttons, which are among the most comfortable the notebook world, has ever seen. Smooth Keypresses on the keyboard combined with the comfort of the touchpad allow the user to have a great experience with the Satellite U405. You can find the touchpad in the dark with the white LED lighting under it, which looks super cool, and is useful too.
Overall, the U405 and U400 are great notebooks, with great functionality complemented by some amazing looks, making it well worth the money you will pay for it.
