Lenovo Adds Three New Members to its Y Series Laptops

The three newbies are named Y450, Y550 and Y650 and all of them feature a compact and thin form factor, with a lightweight body. This clearly shows the company has great plans for 2009 and is ready to deliver something really exciting for those demand on the go entertainment.
All the three Y series laptops are engineered with mobile entertainment, portability and performance in mind. With the display sizes ranging from 14 to 16 inches, all three of them support an aspect ratio of 16:9, which allows you to enjoy videos and movies in a better way. The design is also very impressive. The outer lid of all the laptops features a discreet black hexagonal design with a copper frame. Take them anywhere you want and you’ll be sure to impress everyone around you. These laptops are ideal for gaming too. You can have up to a 500GB hard disk drive installed in them, along with up to 4GB of RAM. This is more performance than most Lenovos, including the Lenovo ThinkPad T400, offer. Besides this, all three Y series models are powered via Nvidia GFX Graphics to ensure smooth and fluid motions on the screen with better fps.
With regards to physical measurements and mass, the thinnest part of the laptops is just 1 inch thick and the maximum weight (that the Y650 carries) is 2.5kg.
