Disgo Net Browser 3000: Ultra Basic and Barebones Netbook for little more than Web Surfing

Computers have evolved from bulky huge machines that used to occupy a few kilometres space and now there are such small netbooks that easily fit into your backpacks. Along with the massive size reduction, the performance has only gone better and better compared to the primitive computers. When you get so many things in such a compact form, why not opt for it then?
The Disgo Net Browser 3000 is one such netbook that is manufactured by Disgo. It is equipped with an ARM processor that has a clock speed of 266 MHz. The internal RAM capacity of the Disgo Net Browser 3000 netbook is about 64 MB. It has a hard disk drive that has a storage capacity of 2 GB. The display screen size is just 7 inches. Thus you can imagine the size of the netbook. This is definitely going to be smaller than the laptops by far and also easier to carry. The display screen is a widescreen too.
This amazing Disgo netbook weighs just 500 grams! Now you can move around in your college or campus with this netbook without even feeling the weight of it. It will easily fit into your daypack. Also, this netbook comes with Wi-Fi enabled so that you can browse the internet world from any public hotspot or even in your campus. There is also a microphone that is provided along with an application called Dictaphone that can be used in lecture hours.

i have heard that this netbook does not allow you to check e-mails from those such as hotmail and aol?

Apparently the Disgo 3000 does indeed have problems with Hotmail as well as corporate email access. It does, however, seem to work for most other email services. It cannot display flash-based websites either. But it can use messenger, Word, Excel and be used to browse websites like Facebook, or YouTube.

hi i have ordered this laptop for christmas, i’m 16 and wanting to use it for year elevan course work and be able to use msn messenger to chat to friends and browse facebook, bebo youtube etc??.. was i right too get this laptop???? write back soon please thanks

I bought a Disgo 3000 Netbook to use for basic internet browsing when out and about, much easier than carrying my regular laptop around. The Disgo 3000 is ideal for Gmail email accounts, Youtube, Facebook and i find it excellent on forum type websites. The Wifi is excellent and has a good range of contact and never drops out. I would advise using a flash drive or memory stick to run any extra software from as this will keep it running smoothly. I have found it very hard to locate software for Windows CE 5.0 though. Saying that though, the Disgo is value for money and does what it says on the tin “Net Book” if you are planning on or are at Uni and need a computer for coursework then this is fine if .txt files and word documents are all that are needed BUT dont expect the Disgo to compete against proper laptops.
I have also been told that Linux can be installed on the Disgo 3000 so i will be looking into this and trying it out, ill post back here when i have tried it.

Have just purchased a Disgo 3000 but cant seem to get eBay to display on more than about a third of the screen down LHS.
I am probably THICK but does anyone know how I get it to display full screen.

i can,t seem to talk to my friends on facbook what is the reason for this me and ju’s kids are like many othres it would be gd if u and facebook could join forces and make some kind of facebook chat app that u could dowload if you didthis i think that if u did that then it would make disgd 3000 more popular,

I am thinking of buying the Disgo 3000 netbook for my 11 year old daughter for christmas.
It will mainly be used for internet browsing and possibly notes for homework assignments.
I am not that up on computers and feel that PC world just want to sell me their prodeuct regardless.
If anyone can advise me i would appriciate it

Im leaving this post using the Disgo 3000. It is a very basic netbook. I bought it for work for the only purpose of accessiing routers and switches for programming. For this purpose it is great. Most websites use flash, and as the Disgo doesn’t support flash i would not have bought it for any other purpose than the one i use it for. Linux can be installed on it but as it only has 64MB RAM i wouldn’t bother. If you wish to see basic websites and get basic e-mail i.e. POP3 accounts then its good. However i bought mine as a recon for £45 of ebay. it has the same returns policy as PC world but half the price! I cant really fault it for that price, but i cant stress enough that it really is a basic net book. Windows CE is a mobile phone software, so that is basically what you get, just without the phone call ability, and as you cant install software on it you get what you pay for. If your looking for something more spend a extra £150 and get a real netbook. Just make suure it has a real HDD not a flash one, as these generally fail.

I have a Net Browser but when I turn it on it just comes up with a white screen. It will make a beeping noise to show it is on the desktop but I can only see this white screen. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it.

i was thinking of buying the disgo 3000 and possibly use it as a bare bones for a custom netbook gradualy modifying the hardware such as ram,motherboard and processor and also eventualy get the os changed from win ce to win xp. (IS THIS A GOOD IDEA , will it work, will it be better or still be a piece of crap)
