North Face made a name for itself making extreme gear for hikers, mountain climbers and generally anybody who liked the great outdoors. At some point, the company realised either that their customers were clambering for the ‘hiker’s laptop bag’ or that the laptop bag market was too big to ignore. Whichever one it is, here they are, with their range of North Face laptop bags.
The North Face Borealis
The North Face Borealis is the most popular North Face laptop bag of all time and for good reason: its classic, understated design doesn’t quite give away that you’re a bit of an outdoorsy guy/girl, nor does it look out of place when you’re among beavers and woodland bears. It has a capacity of 30 litres, a very well padded back and a chest trap for mitigating heavy loads. We like the North Face Borealis a lot.
The North Face Surge
Where the North Face Borealis tries to stay true to its roots, so to speak, the North Face Electra couldn’t be bothered and unashamedly targets those of us who are fashion conscious with slight outdoor persuasions, as opposed to those of us with outdoor persuasion who are slightly fashion conscious. The North Face Electra has a 12.0 litre capacity, with a very thin, narrow design. It comes in a cream/beige combination intended, unashamedly, for women and is made of synthetic fibre.
The North Face Recon
Where the North Face Electra and the Borealis don’t do the trick, the North Face Recon may be the one for you. What’s special about this backpack is it takes much of what makes the Borealis special, pops in an all black design, adds a helmet holder and gives it a badass name. You’re not quite a Recon soldier in this North Face laptop bag, but you know you play those silly war-games when in the mountains. This just adds to the allure.
Are there any other North Face laptop bags you like more?
