It might seem incredible that sound cards are now also available in the USB 2.0 format. But Creative has made this a reality with the company’s new hi-fi gaming soundcard, which resembles a USB stick and is called the Sound Blaster X-Fi Go!.

This sound card makes use of Creative’s proprietary X-Fi Xtreme Fidelity audio technology that is well known for delivering rich surround sound effects. The main advantage of this sound card is its portability and compact size that can easily fit into your pocket. It is essentially the same sound card as the Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio, but in portable format. Now you can experience hi-fi sounds anywhere you want on any PC. Just plug the Sound Blaster X-Fi Go! in and then it’s ready to deliver top notch acoustics. Sound Blaster X-Fi Go! has 1 GB of built-in flash memory, which contains all the necessary software for installation on any notebook, desktop, laptop, tablet PC etc; there is no need to insert any type of installation CD.

You can even use the sound card to save your current game progress, unlocked items, stages and other goodies such as plug-ins, add-ons and much more. Sound Blaster X-Fi Go! delivers 3D surround sound, plus its X-Fi Crystalizer technology ensures that your MP3s sounds better. The integrated X-Fi CMSS-3D also helps in maintaining that sound quality, even when you are using headphones. The Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Go! also supports Creative EAX Advanced HD 4.0.. This is a big advantage in itself, because there are currently over 400 game titles which use Creative EAX technology to enhance in-game sound effects.
