Mobile USB modems are becoming the hot shots these days. Many computing enthusiasts are demanding great devices in small size, especially when it comes to mobile computing and broadband access. Responding to such demands, Batelco has unveiled its new mobile USB modem called the O-net Mobile Broadband that not only features very small form factor but also offers awesome functionality.

According to the company the O-net is the smallest, slimmest and the lightest mobile USB modem in the market. Unlike the Netgear WG 111 GR USB modem, which only offers WiFi, the O-net offers the fastest and best HSDPA services available. In certain hot spots the O-net broadband can support data speeds of up to 14.4 Mbps. It’s easy to use and set up. Users just have to plug it in the USB port to experience the Internet faster than ever before.

Ahmed Al Janahi, Batelco media and government relations general manager said, “The new O-net device enables customers to browse the Internet, send and receive SMS, chat using existing instant messaging service and access business applications, all from the convenience of a laptop or PC, anywhere and anytime. Large volumes of data such as large e-mail attachments can now be downloaded faster than ever before. Additionally, the device also uses an external memory slot that can be used as flash so users can store up to 8GB of documents which is a fantastic added convenience. The external memory cards are available separately.”
