LG working on 4-inch iPhone display?

One of the foremost rumours for the iPhone 5 was that it would have a larger edge-to-edge display. While that handset has yet to be, instead giving way to the iPhone 4S, reports of an iPhone with a larger display coming to market continue nevertheless. Macbook Air almost a third of Apple’s notebook shipment

Logitech lost $100 million on Google TV bet

Google TV was to be the biggest revolution in how we consumed television since the introduction of PVR, arguably, but the service was met with little fanfare and even fewer sales. Logitech, who placed a big bet on the service, was particularly badly burnt as product returns outweighed product sales. Reports indicate that the losses totalled $100 million (£62.5m). Ouch. Sony CEO claims company ready to take on Apple

UK Siri voice goes public

The man behind the UK version of the iPhone 4S Siri voice assistant has gone public, even though Apple attempted to prevent it from happening. In an interview with The Telegraph, Jon Briggs, who voices ‘Daniel’, the voice assistant you get if you change your system settings to English (United Kingdom), broke down the process behind recording voice samples for the application. HP tops Greenpeace Guide to Green Electronics

Greenpeace’s annual ‘Guide to Green Electronics’ ranked the top 15 technology companies in the world on their green policies and practices, as well as on how their products and their inherent manufacturing process impacted the climate. In its 17th iteration, the report ranked Hewlett-Packard first and some way out in front, with Apple climbing five places to fourth and Research In Motion, a new addition to the list, coming in dead last. Smartphone games overtake Nintendo and Sony in revenue

In the US, revenue earned from sales of smartphone games on iOS and Android combined have outnumbered the revenue earned from sales of Nintendo DS and Sony games combined, according to a report.
