If you have been looking for a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant), with high-end features, then here is the perfect device for you. The iKit introduced by iMovio is an amalgamation of a smartphone and a mini-PC. You can also call it a pocket mobile companion that is as handy as a mobile phone. At first glance, you might not notice all the sophisticated features of this small, WiFi enabled handheld.

The iKit possesses compact dimensions of 95mm x 65 mm x 15.5mm. It includes a full QWERTY keyboard and a 2.8 QVGA display along with an 8GB SD card slot. While the gadget is as good as a decent smartphone, the USB port makes it a reasonable alternative to a laptop or, at least a netbook like the Asus Eee PC 701 4G. The trendy looking iKit is truly an affordable substitute for the expensive smartphones as well as the mini-PCs.

In fact, IMOVIO seems to create the gadget with the same idea in mind, which can be gathered from a statement of the company’s CEO, Dr. Jack Torobin. He said, “Many consumers can’t afford the latest smartphones or mini-PC gadget, while others simply can’t use or just don’t like the existing form factors…..” Dr Torobin further stated that many users, particularly women and adolescents are likely to be more interested in the stylish iKit.

The portable iKit is capable of fulfilling all modern communication needs along with the benefits of a clamshell design and a landscape screen.
