What’s New in the Apple 3G iPhone?

The Apple 3G iPhone offers some much anticipated improvements over its younger sibling, which has already attained legendary status. Of course the most noticeable change is the addition of 3G technology, but the new iPhone also unveils a whole new world of applications and utilities.

You can now access many new technologies and third party tools. Let’s have a look at that ‘Extra’ which the Apple 3G iPhone offers its customers.

• Design: The Apple 3G iPhone’s design has been reengineered and its body is slimmer and lighter that the older version. It is available in white also.
• Use the earphones of your choice: 3G iPhones have got a 3.5mm jack for the earphones. This means you are no longer restricted to iPhone specific headphones, such as the Skullcandy iPhone FMJ, as you can now select any headset of your choice.
• Improved Performance: 3G technology gives you an amazing speed and accuracy while surfing the internet or doing any other tasks. The new iPhone’s processing power is very much enhanced than the older ones.
• Talk More: the new iPhone have more powerful battery which can give you 5 hours of talktime.
• New Services: The 3G iPhone comes loaded with the location based services like GPS, Google maps and Photo Geotagging.
• Bugs now Fixed: Some of the bugs which were there in the old iPhone has been fixed now. For example, you can now delete the e-mails in bulk.
• Other Extra Features: 3G iPhone also supports Push e-mail, Push contacts, Push calendar, MS Exchange Servers, global address lookup and remote wipe security feature.
• Of course all of the features from the original iPhone, such as MP3 playback and the YouTube feature, remain intact in the newer model.

  1. Some of those features are not unique to the 3G, some of those are coming via the software upgrade and will be available for the 1st iPhone… FYI

  2. OK, this was OBVIOUSLY written based on specs and not on an actual review. Battery life on the G3 is abysmal. If you keep the G3 on, you will be lucky to have your phone last the day. You will need to keep a charger at home, a charger in your car and a charger at work.

    But that said, I LOVE the phone and highly recommend it.
