Very rarely does a gadget truthfully deserve the title of “Masterpiece”. However, if any mobile manufacturer has the expertise to consistently develop such a perfect phone, it would certainly be Nokia. While maybe not perfect, Nokia’s new Nokia N79 is fairly close. The mobile phone’s combination of beautiful style, appearance and attributes make it a truly worthy competitor for any other phones currently on the market.

The Nokia N79 comes with a host of high-end features expected of any smartphone and more. For starters, the Nokia 79 is powered by Symbian OS 9.3, Series 60 v3.2 UI operating system, instead of the typical Windows Mobile OS. Moreover, while many mobile phones only include a measly 1.3 megapixel camera, the Nokia N79 comes with an extra formidable 5 Megapixel camera, along with Carl Zeiss optics and autofocus. As far as memory is concerned, the mobile uses microSD (transflash), which grant it an extendable memory of up to 8GB, on top of the 50 MB of internal memory. Everything can be controlled using the 2.4 inch TFT screen, and touch-sensitive navigation wheel. Moreover, an Accelerometer sensor is included for an auto-rotate feature.

Prompt and fast internet access is always essential, so thankfully the Nokia N79 makes connecting to a wireless network and transferring data easy with its 3G connectivity, GPRS (Class 11, 107 kbits), WLAN (Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, UPnP technology) and v2.0 Bluetooth (v2.0 with A2DP). None of these features end up excessively draining the battery either, as the phone offers up to 372 hours of battery time in standby, and 5 and a half hours while talking.

Are you looking for a 3G smartphone? Then go and check out HTC S730 available in the store nearby. This awesome creation doesn’t let you blink your eye even for a second, once you start staring at its magnificent frame. The phone has got a perfect smart phone appearance with beautifully designed curvy edges. What makes it appear unconventional in the normal crowd is its keypad structure.

As a smartphone it obviously includes some very smart and impressive features, such as its 2.4 inch display with a clarity of 240 x 320 pixels. Its auto slide-out QWERTY keyboard makes texting, emailing and instant messaging as fast and easy as ever. You can not only enjoy ring tones in polyphonic and MP3 formats, but one can also download them as well. A user will get plenty of storage space in HTC S730 as it incorporates microSD (transflash), 64 MB RAM, 256 MB of internal, which is somewhat impressive and should let you store many files. For a better performance the HTC S730 Wings equips a Qualcomm MSM7200 processor that runs with the speed of 400 MHz. The most alluring aspect of a smartphone is its internet ability, without which a mobile phone cannot be considered a smartphone. With HTC S730 you’ll receive quick internet access, thanks to its GPRS (Class 10 (4+1/3+2 slots), 32 – 48 kbps) facility which merely requires activation.

HTC products are charismatic and that’s why consumers prefer them. One of the HTC S730‘s most attractive supplementary features is its 2 Megapixels camera, which promises brilliant 1600 x 1200 pixel snapshots. So, people if you’re seriously planning on purchasing a smartphone, HTC has once again manufactured a model to be reckoned with.

Some people are very choosy about what they purchase. For those picky and demanding consumers, BenQ creates products with niche attributes and glamour. One mobile phone that incorporates all the signature BenQ attributes and style is the BenQ P50. In terms of appearance, the product is clearly unmatched and in a class of its own, with its alluring and super cool black complexion.

Now let’s jump to the attributes and characteristics that make this specific model a smartphone. For starters, the gadget delivers a 2G (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) network, although 3G is sadly absent. This is somewhat of a disadvantage considering most of the top smartphones nowadays, such as the BlackBerry 9000 Bold, are all 3G phones. But BenQ nevertheless provides a big and clear view with its superb 2.8 inch TFT touch screen display, in a clarity of 240 x 320 pixels. As a communicative smartphone, it obviously possesses a QWERTY keyboard, accompanied by onboard wallpapers and downloadable pictures. The device is also compatible with both polyphonic and MP3 ringtones. As far its performance specifications are concerned, the BenQ P50 is rather average. It uses MMC/SDIO memory cards, meaning the memory is extendable by up to 2GB, 64 MB of SDRAM, 64 MB of flash ROM and an Intel PXA 272 processor working with the speed of 416 MHz.

The BenQ P50 comes with numerous advanced communication possibilities, including a GPRS (Class 10 (4+1/3+2 slots), 32 – 48 kbps) facility, Wireless Local Area Network (Wi-Fi 802.11b), Bluetooth and an Infrared port. Its great companionship is reflected by the battery that last up to 120 hours in standby and 4 hours when talking.

Complete and do-everything gadgets are in demand nowadays. And in the mobile phone arena there is no gadget more complete than a smartphone. Of course, the difficulty lies in selecting a smartphone from the huge variety of manufacturers in the market. Some products and manufacturers, however, distinguish themselves and rise above the competition. One of these companies is i-mate and their signature product is the i-mate Ultimate 8502.

The phone offers both 2G (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) and 3G (HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100) networks to the consumers and that’s what unveils its 3G calibre. In smartphones perfect navigation indispensible. The i-mate designers were obviously when aware of this when granting the mobile a 2.6 inch TFT touch screen and a complete QWERTY keyboard. You will also have quite a selection of ringtones available, since you can choose from polyphonic and MP3 formats. The i-mate Ultimate8502’s performance specifications are no less impressive. It supports microSD memory cards, 256 MB of Read Only Memory and 128 MB of RAM. Meanwhile the device runs on the included Qualcomm MSM 7200 400 MHz processor.

Additionally, a user can enjoy GPRS facility (Class 10 (4+1/3+2 slots), 32 – 48 kbps), Wireless Local Area Network (Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g) and a v2.0 Bluetooth with A2DP technology for communication purposes.

Gadgets with flaps often steal your heart at first glance. The i-mate Ultimate 9150 was introduced to the market with a similar intention. The product looks vivacious in its silver complexion, while its flap reveals the beauty of its greyish keypad. The i-mate Ultimate 9150’s lightweight and compact size also make carrying it a joy.

Of course, the mobile phone also offers nearly everything you would expect from any Windows Mobile device. Its features are best compared to the HTC TyTN II, as the smartphone rivals this competitor very closely and in most aspects. As a 3G device, its networks are widespread due to the availability of both 2G (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) and 3G (HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100) networks. It is compatible with both polyphonic and MP3 ringtones. Essential internet access is fast and quick with the integrated GPRS. A user can seamlessly and easy transfer data via the Bluetooth and infrared port. A 2 megapixel camera is also on board for entertainment purposes. Now users can capture their moments in the best possible manner, and with 1600×1200 pixel image resolution that is rich in colours.

Now coming onto the navigation part, the i-mate Ultimate 9150 includes a beautiful 2.6 inch display with a clarity of 640 x 480 pixels. Meanwhile, there is also a 1.2 inch supplementary display on the other side, and both are compatible with handwriting recognition.

Asus products have their own identity in the market. We all know about its marvelous laptops and famous Eee PC series, but have you heard about the company’s smartphones? One of the smartphones which you should hear more about is the Asus P527. The mobile phone is actually somewhat unconventional and you’ll realise this at first glance. The main reason for this uniqueness is its combination grey, black and silver complexion, which radiates a phenomenal and eye catching glow.

As a smartphone it naturally offers the standard 2G (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) network commonly used in most mobile phones. In fact, it is really almost identical to its close relative, the Asus P536 smartphone. The magnificent 2.6 inch display offers a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. And surprisingly, the display is a TFT touch screen. Moving onto ringtones, the device is equally impressive with compatibility for 128 channels polyphonic, Midi, MP3, WMA and WAV ringtones. In terms of core performance features, the mobile also doesn’t disappoint. It includes support for microSD memory cards (transflash), 64 MB RAM, 128 MB of internal memory and a TI OMAP processor working with the speed of 200 MHz. The GPRS (Class 10 (4+1/3+2 slots), 32 – 48 kbps) support makes accessing the internet easy as well. And with the embedded WiFi you can connect the Asus P527 any computer or network without so much the need of an Ethernet cable. The v2.0 Bluetooth is also on board for additional wireless fun. The gadget’s 2 megapixel camera is another nice touch.

The smartphone cannot by any means claim to be the best on the market, but it does still manage to impress for its relatively low price range.

After having stormed the handheld market with a comprehensive assortment of products, HTC is now out with a highly state of the art device termed the HTC TyTN, pronounced ‘Titan’. The best thing about this product is the fact that even in three years time it will not be obsolete. In this digital age, such a declaration is in itself a huge deal and this product will surely deliver on its promise. In five years time, every device currently available is certain to be obsolete but HTC TyTN will still be around.

This pocket sized phone measures a measly 113 x 58 x 22 mm with a weight of around 176 grams (battery inclusive). It has a large keypad with wider buttons for the comfort of users. The HTC TyTN has a 64 MB RAM and a 128 MB ROM with a regular 2GB expandable memory. Plus it has a cutting edge 400 MHz Samsung Processor, which easily rivals most other smartphones on the market today. Basically with its great CPU it can match any product in its category.

There are many features, including a 2 megapixel camera, which is also capable of shooting videos.. It has all the latest features like Bluetooth, infrared, and is compatible with GPRS, EDGE and HSDPA. One of the product’s main advantages is that there isn’t the slightest lag when toggling between applications, which is the case with many pocket PCs these days. The product has gained acclaim and success on account of these features, and will no doubt continue to do so for many more years.

Smartphones created by HTC are just typically superb. Their sense of style is truly phenomenal and the HTC S620 has come onto the market with a similar elegance.

Smartphones created by HTC are just typically superb. Their sense of style is truly phenomenal and the HTC S620 has come onto the market with a similar elegance. This unit’s complexion is a combination of silver and black, which gives the device an intelligent and marvelous appeal.

The HTC S620’s wide appearance immediately reveals that it is in fact a smartphone crammed with impressive features. The HTC S620 Excalibur also supports the 2G network, just like any other mobile phone. The HTC S620 also includes a 2.4 inch display (Resolution: 240 x 320 pixels) for a fairly decent view and navigational possibilities. Its compatibility with 40 channels polyphonic and MP3 ringtones allows the user to enjoy downloaded ringtones in these two formats.

Additionally the offers an HTC JOGGR touch sensitive navigation bar accompanied by a QWERTY keyboard for fluid communication. In terms of performance, the mobile could always do better with 64 MB of SDRAM, 128 MB of ROM and a TI OMAP 850 200 MHz processor, as well as support for microSD memory cards.

Internet access is essential for any smartphone, and thankfully this model makes use of GPRS and WiFi. For file and data transferring purpose a v2.0 Bluetooth with A2DP technology is included. With HTC S620 you can connect to a local computer and network. All this smart working is run by the device’s Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone operating system. So while there are better smartphones on the market, this beauty still strikes a great combination between style and utility.
