In-depth look at the Latest Netbooks in Mobile Computing
By James • Mar 4th, 2009 • Category: Lead Story, NetbooksNetbooks have become very essential nowadays. It has become a kind of style statement too. Netbooks are laptop computers designed for wireless communication and also to access the internet. Netbooks run either Linux or Windows XP. Netbooks are going to be huge this year. Susceptible to criticisms about small, low-resolution screens and ever eager to originate another profitable niche, manufacturers are expanding their line-ups with more contentedly balanced 12inch screen models. Amongst the latest netbooks, the Dell Inspiron Mini 12, Samsung NC10, and LG X110 3G stand out from the crowd.
The Dell Inspiron Mini 12 weighs just about a kilo and is 27mm thick. It has a 12 inch screen. It is very portable and is almost similar to Apple MacBook Air. It has decent colours, solid contrast etc. Samsung NC10 weighs 2.8 pounds with six cell battery. It has a 10 inch screen and gives a very good resolution. The hard disk does not exceed 80GB. It has got a very stylish look, but its price tag is high in comparison with the original price tag of laptops. The LG X110 3G, which is very similar to the MSI Wind U110, has been a big strike for both buyers and sellers. The most notable thing about it is the in-built 3G modem.
