The Modem Software NetShare is still coming to the iPhone after all

By Dean • Aug 6th, 2008 • Category: iPhone

Apple already removed the NetShare modem software from its App Store twice in a small period of time. The reasons for this are still unknown. But the maker of the iPhone software is confident that NetShare will soon be listed again.

A wireless connection to an iPhone can be constructed with help of NetShare, in order to go online with a PC via the mobile phone connection. The use of the iPhone as a modem is not immediately possible. The NetShare software from Nullriver wants to fill this performance gap and offer the iPhone a function that many other mobile phones, like the P3700 Touch, already include as a given.

NetShare was already available twice in the App Store, but was then quickly removed by Apple. Again, Apple has yet to release any reasons for this action. Nullriver has also complained that they received no information as to why the software was removed. Now the company is explaining that automatic Email systems disrupted the communication. Nullriver is therefore assuming that their software will shortly be available again for download from the App Store. However, an exact date has yet to be determined.
