Samsung is ready to throw a big challenge at popular smartphone rivals, like the Apple iPhone, by introducing its new i8910 Omnia HD smartphone. This time Samsung Mobile has left nothing to be criticised. The i8910 Omnia HD can be crowned as the near perfect smartphone, since it offers all the basic, as well as advanced, communication features, along with an impressive body and technical innovation.

As soon as you look at the phone you will be surely impressed by its 3.7 inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a HD resolution of 640×360 pixels. Samsung Omnia aka SGH-i900 coming to the US with Verizon

Finally the Samsung Omnia has been unlocked in the US. The handset is supported by Verizon Wireless and will be available online and through business channels starting from 26th Nov. The smartphone will make its way to actual stores on Dec 8 this year. Consumers will have to pay $249.99 for a two year contract. Feature wise the unlocked version of Omnia is more or less same as the locked version. It features eye-catching design, a touch screen and a TouchWiz user interface which offers responsive touch controls that redefine the touchscreen technology.

While the Verizon Wireless Samsung Omnia is not necessarily a messaging centric device, it still has got the power to drive the smartphones lovers towards it. The Samsung SGHi900 Omnia 8GB offers a better user experience and faster processing as compared to its rivals such as Blackberry Storm. It also offers more functionality in terms of customisation and creativity. Using its TouchWiz interface you can decorate your home with a number of ‘widgets’ and you will find some new widgets in the Verizon Wireless Omnia.

Coming to the tech specs, the Verizon Omnia runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 platform and has a large 3.2-inch TFT display that renders high quality images and videos. Samsung is one of the best brands in the consumer electronics and that’s why it receives so much attention for its latest trend-setting gadgets.
