Kingston announces its new 16GB microSDHC Card

By Alexis • Mar 13th, 2009 • Category: Memory Cards

Memory cards are the most affordable, portable and efficient devices to offer data storage on the go. These devices started with providing megabytes of storage and with the growth and development these cards now offer gigabytes of storage and will continue to achieve the terabyte milestone.

Following in the footsteps of Pretec, the company that recently announced its first 32GB SDXC card, Kingston has also announced its 16GB microSDHC card. Finally, after SanDisk, the Kingston too has joined the fray and brought more competition into the memory card market. This makes sure that the consumers will be delighted as now the prices will drop faster. The Kingston’s 16GB microSDHC card is intended for use in any SDHC capable device and comes with a microSDHC to SDHC adapter. That means you can use it with any MP3 player, like the Epson P-7000 160GB, smartphones, digital cameras, media players and any other compatible device. The 16GB storage space ensures that you can store around 3000 songs or more than 8000 photos at 5 mega pixels or approximately 16 hours of video. However the actual figures will vary and depend upon how you mix up all the data to be stored on the card. The card supports FAT 32 file system. It’s compliant with the SD Specification Version 2.00 and comes with a lifetime warranty.

Vaughan Nankivell, Regional Manager for Kingston Technology commented, “The increased functionality of the latest mobile phones has helped fuel and raise consumers’ appetites for more digital content. Today’s mobile lifestyle includes using phones as portable media players and as a camera. The Kingston16GB microSDHC card removes the barrier of limited internal handset or device memory and allows users to store more photos, songs, games and videos.”

ASUS Eee PC 701 4G Surf Notebook: Miniature Game Changer

By Alexis • Oct 8th, 2008 • Category: Laptops

Get out of those stereotypes, and feel the new and vibrant scenario with the Asus Eee PC 4G Surf Notebook. This is the original device that started the netbook craze, and it did so with its revolutionary concepts and design. Combining lightweight, compact size, an extremely affordable price, and standard laptop prices, the Eee PC 701 took the computer world by storm and singe-handedly ushered in a new era. Did we mention this vivacious gadget also looks wonderful in its various vibrant colours?

This product by Asus is especially diminutive when compared to other laptops, but that is one of the product’s main strengths. That’s why the product’s main display measures only 7 inches diagonally. But despite being a mere 7 inch display, its 800 x 480 pixel resolution ensures you won’t miss the bigger picture. The built-in Intel UMA graphics card adds to the already excellent display quality.

Now we know the Asus Eee PC 701 had to make certain sacrifices to achieve its spectacularly small size and price, and these sacrifices are evident when examining the laptop’s performance specs. The Asus Eee PC 4G notebook includes an Intel Mobile Chipset accompanied by an Intel mobile processor or CPU. The gadget possesses a 4GB solid state disk and 512MB of RAM, both very minimal attributes. Instead of Windows, the unit comes with Linux preinstalled. Sound is one aspect which deserves applause as it delivers hi-definition audio, thanks to its hi-definition audio CODEC. One included internal microphone and 2 internal stereo speakers add to its entertainment value.

As a compact laptop, the Eee PC is designed to accompany you. The product is equipped with 4 cells: 5200mAh, which guarantees a battery life of up to 3.5 hours. Moreover, Asus also provides a 2 year warranty guarantee for consumer satisfaction. So it is more than clear why this little computer has had such a big impact.
