Nokia Gets Maximizer Mobile CRM on the Symbian OS

The Stylistic ST5112 from Fujitsu

When talking about Tablet PC’s, we automatically wonder what Fujitsu has last been up to. The company always takes us by surprise, especially when it comes to tablet PCs. Fujitsu launched its latest addition to its tablet PC line with the Stylistic ST5112. Fujitsu’s slate tablets in the Stylistic series have been in the market for quite time and have created a niche over all these years. The slate supports both operating systems launched by Microsoft, namely, Windows XP and Windows Vista Business Edition.

The ST5112 empowered with a 12.1 inch indoor/outdoor display and only weights 3.5 pounds, making it extremely portable. It’s also less than an inch thick and very compact in terms of size. The Stylistic has been given the conventional touch and all the basic buttons, including an email button, are readily available. The left side of the Stylistic contains all the important ports, including two USB 2.0 ports, a 4 pin FireWire, a mono mic in, a 3.5 mm stereo out and modem ports. The display is highlighted by a couple of consumer (fast) IR windows on each side. The speakers and the integrated microphone are located on the left side of the bezel.

The top edge of the Tablet PC has the Smart Card, the SD/Memory Stick and the PCMCIA, while the bottom of the Stylistic has the removable battery release. The back of the computer has the docking station connector and the surface is enveloped by suede like material which is black in colour and is soft, thus making allowing for a firm grip.

The left of the display has the biometric fingerprint module while the upper right has the stylus silo and the location of the power button is above the display. The ST5112 is powered by the Intel Core Duo, which has a processing speed of 1.2 GHz. All the business tasks can be performed on the ST5112 which will leave you enamored and make you stand up to applaud its spectacular performance.

The running capacity of the battery has been clocked at 6 hours when the 6 cell 5200 mAh Lithium Ion Battery is used. For additional power needs, an extended 9 cell 7800 mAh battery is optionally available with a running capacity of 9 hours.
