Sony Ericsson W890i: Where Beauty meets Performance

After the W880i became a huge hit, Sony Ericsson launched its successor, the W890i. This one is basically an enhanced and sleeker version of its predecessor. It has a more powerful sound, in addition to an array of useful functions, which help make the mobile phone a complete handheld digital entertainer.

Of course, many features have remained the same. Just like the old W880i, this one also offers 3G connectivity but this time with HSDPA for supporting high speed web browsing and data transfer. The Sony-Ericsson W890i’s camera too has been upgraded to 3.2-megapixels with support for a resolution of 2048×1536 pixels. However, it still lacks in some of the advanced features such as flash and auto focus you will find in standalone digital cameras.

Since the W890i is a walkman mobile phone, its forte is entertainment, and especially music. The mobile phone supports Sony’s latest version of its walkman player software. The walkman mobile also supports Bluetooth, GPRS, EDGE, WAP, SMS, MMS, EMS, Java, WAP browser and an audio/video player. In order to make video calls or participate in video conferencing, one secondary camera with a resolution of 640×480 pixels has been included. Did we mention the W890i looks as great as ever with its smart, curved edges and comfortable frame? The keypad has also been re-configured and now has large rectangular buttons to make typing easy.
